Frank Taylor O.B.E.
Frank Taylor was another Kasfareet man of the war years 1942 - 1946 who easily moved into the field of sports journalism as a specialist sports writer for quite a number of Fleet Street dailies. It was here that he aquired the well earned nickname of " Scoop " Taylor. He was a close friend of Joe and took on the task of editing the Kasfareet Kronicles. He was a survivor of the Manchester Air Crash at Munich and had covered the match as Sports Correspondent of the News Chronicle at the time. He was badly injured in the crash and had been crippled ever since. This failed to dim his character though the following article pictures him as Honorary Life President of the International Sports Writers Association, presenting the Golden Laurel Wreath to Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of the Manchester United Club, voted
" The International Team of the Century " by the A.I.P.S.
